OVERVIEW:

Oscar is an Associate of the Firm who has gained considerable experience in Immigration Law, Employment law, corporate law, and conveyancing. He has executed instructions in various areas of the law ranging from immigration related matters, employment law matters, corporate advisory, civil and corporate litigation, and competition matters before the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission.

He is also an active member of our Litigation and Corporate advisory team who assists our clients on various aspects of the law including providing legal opinions, legal memorandum, and alternative dispute resolutions.

He is a member of the Law Association of Zambia.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

Oscar has been a team member on the following matters:

 First National Bank Limited on whether its former employee’s claim for wrongful and unfair dismissal had any merit. This matter ultimately went to the High Court and was

successfully defended by the bank;

• Lactalis Zambia Limited on conduct likely to result in the prevention, restriction, or distortion of competition vis-à-vis the fixing the purchase price in terms of the Competition and Consumer Protection Act No. 24 of 2010;
• Ancestry Ireland Unlimited Company on all the legal and regulatory implications of selling its direct-to-consumer Ancestry DNA kits in Zambia relating to various aspects of the regulatory and operational environment of Ancestry DNA kits in Zambia.
• Assists on immigration matters for various international and local companies such as Kobold Metals, Choppies Zambia Limited and Zambold Exploration Limited; and
• Incorporation process of Mingomba Mining Limited.
