OVERVIEW

Chinyanta Kafunda is an Associate in the Firm’s Dispute Resolution Department. He specialises in commercial litigation and arbitration, and also has experience in corporate advisory, intellectual property, debt recovery, employment law, conveyancing and Pension Law. 

Chinyanta has assisted local and international clients on corporate and commercial matters, including commercial disputes before the High Court of Zambia and contentious matters before arbitral tribunals. Below is a list of selected matters that Chinyanta has worked on: 

Lactalis Zambia Limited (“Lactalis”), (formerly Parmalat Zambia Limited), a subsidiary of Lactalis Group: various employment claims brought by former employees following the termination of their employment. 

Zambian Breweries Plc: relating to various disputes arising out of claims from former employees; and claims from various suppliers of goods. 

Mediterranean Shipping Company S.A: a global shipping line founded by Gianluigi Aponte in Italy with headquarters in Switzerland in relation to recovery of its goods in Zambia.
