OVERVIEW

Noel has over 5 years’ experience advising on mining, banking and finance, real estate, conveyancing, and corporate advisory matters. He regularly advises local and international clients on a broad range of commercial transactions, with experience in property acquisitions, secured lending transactions, and mining-related surface rights matters.

He is an active member of the firm’s Corporate Advisory and Conveyancing teams and has been involved in several high-value and high-profile transactions across various sectors. Noel is recognised for providing commercially pragmatic legal support and transaction-focused advisory services.

Noel holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa. He is an Advocate of the High Court of Zambia and a member of the Law Association of Zambia.

PERSONAL EXPERIENCE

Noel has been a team member in the following matters:

  • Kobold Metals – Assisted with the acquisition of surface rights in the Copperbelt Province of the Republic of Zambia in connection with the US$150 million investment for the development of the Mingomba Mining Project. The project was publicly announced by the President of Zambia and covered by international media.
  • Konkola Copper Mines Plc (KCM) – Assisted with the acquisition of surface rights in the Southern Province of the Republic of Zambia, including advising on other matters relating to surface rights and mining rights.
  • The Standard Bank of South Africa Limited – Assisted in connection with the US$306 million financing extended to, among others, Grit Real Estate Income Group Limited, a deal recognised as one of Africa’s largest sustainabilitylinked transactions.
  • Standard Chartered Bank Plc – Assisted with the perfection of various security instruments over the years for different credit transactions, including 2 due diligence, and the preparation, registration, and discharge of security instruments to facilitate secured lending.
  • Parrogate Group – Assisted with the acquisition of various assets and about 10 properties situated in various districts across the Republic of Zambia, including due diligence and transaction advisory.
  • Liebherr Zambia Limited – Assisted with the acquisition of about 13 properties in the North-Western Province of the Republic of Zambia, including due diligence and transaction advisory.
