OVERVIEW

Noel is a Trainee Associate of the firm specialising in Real Estate/Conveyancing; Corporate Law; Banking & Finance Law; and Mining Law and has over the years gained experience assisting our clients with various legal issues from time to time.

Noel is also an active member of our corporate advisory and conveyancing teams and has over the years been involved in high profile matters touching on various aspects of the law.

Noel has an LLB from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa, and is currently due to complete a Post-Graduate LLB from the University of Zambia.

PERSONAL EXPERIENCE

Noel has been a team member in the following matters:

  • Mabiza Resources Limited in relation to assisting to restructure the company’s debt with various creditors and tax authorities.
  • China Nonferrous Metal Industry’s Foreign Engineering and Construction Company Limited (“NFC”) in relation to Zambian law aspects regarding the acquisition of controlling stake in China Nonferrous Mining Corporation Limited from China Nonferrous Mining Development Limited. NFC is principally engaged in mining and smelting of nonferrous metal products and international projects contracting. In the 2019 interim report of NFC, the consolidated operating income, net profit attributable to the shareholders of NFC, and net cash flow from operating activities amounted to approximately RMB6.135 billion, RMB81 million and RMB787 million, respectively.
  • Taag-Linhas Aereas De Angola S.A (“TAAG Airlines”), Deloitte & Touche and Consolidated Steel Industries (PTY) Limited (“CSI”) in relation to assisting to de-register TAAG Airlines in Zambia, the liquidation of Supreme Furnishers Zambia Limited and the liquidation of Global Roofing Solutions Zambia Limited, respectively.
  • Various due diligence reports and legal advice for international companies seeking to invest and expand operations to Zambia.
