OVERVIEW:

David is an Associate of the firm who he has gained extensive experience in corporate law; environmental law, Dispute Resolution; Conveyancing, Employment law and Environmental Law, and continues to assist our clients with various legal issues.

He emerged as the best graduating student in the 2022 Zambia Bar Examinations and is a recipient of the Stephen Malama Award that is presented by the Mahtani Group of Companies.

He is a member of the Law Association of Zambia.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

David has been a team member in the following matters:

  • MoneyGram International Limited advising the Company on the legal framework on cryptocurrency in Zambia vis-à-vis US$ Coin;
  • ALS Capital Limited in relation to debt collection and commencing drafting documents to commence legal proceedings against defaulting debtors;
  • Vedanta Resources Holdings Limited in relation to various mining and environmental aspects of their operation at Konkola Copper Mines Plc in Zambia;
  • Advising ALCF I Investment II Proprietary Limited, on the Zambian competition law  aspects in connection with the BWP250,000,000.00 acquisition of 37.62 percent stake in
  • FSG Limited, a transaction which has since been reported by Sunday Standard Reporter.
  • Prudential Pensions Management Zambia Limited in relation to the FQM Zambia Staff Pension Scheme and training the FQM Board of Trustees on various matters including laws regulating pension Schemes; powers and duties of Trustees; Trustees liability at law; Board of Trustees good corporate governance; and Key SEC provisions for the Trustees attention.
