Emmanuel is an Associate in the Firm’s Dispute Resolution Department. He specialises in commercial litigation and arbitration, and also has experience in insolvency, debt recovery, employment law and tax law.

Emmanuel has assisted local and international clients on corporate and commercial matters, including insolvency proceedings before the High Court of Zambia and contentious matters before arbitral tribunals.Below is a list of selected matters that Emmanuel has worked on:

Lactalis Zambia Limited (“Lactalis”), (formerly Parmalat Zambia Limited), a subsidiary of Lactalis Group: various employment claims brought by former employees following the termination of their employment.

Barloworld Equipment Zambia Limited: relating to various disputes arising out of the rental and purchase of heavy machinery contracts with its customers.

Freddy Hirsch Group Limited: assisted in debt recovery in relation to various claims involving its former Managing Director Emmanuel Roukounis and the local franchise of Romans Catering Enterprises Limited, Fabs Investments Limited.

Inchcape Kenya Limited: part of the team that acted for Inchcape Kenya Limited in Inchcape Kenya Limited v Sarago General Dealers Limited and Discover Insurance Limited (2024/HPC/0127), a dispute involving over €440,000. Judgment was given in favour of our client.

Emmanuel was part of the team at Mulenga Mundashi Legal Practitioners that prepared the first Zambian chapter in the International Comparative Legal Guide – Environmental, Social and Governance Law 2024 (Fourth Edition).
